Easter

Coloring eggs:

See that bowl in front of IA? It is holding our beta fish. Not the goldfish CA won at his school carnival - because that one died within 12 hours. The kids were devastated so then came the beta named ObiWon (I have no idea how to spell that, sorry Star Wars fans)

All dressed up and ready to go to church!

Except for IA who ended up getting sick. All dressed up and nowhere to go:-(

Hunting for eggs at Grandma's:

Still not feeling well but not wanting to miss out:

Remember that fish bowl on the table? Well, it became this. A 10 gallon tank that now holds the Beta, a cleaner fish, 2 little fishes (won't even try to spell that one, there were 3 and then the Beta ate one), and 2 frogs.

Hiking

We went on a real hike a few weeks ago. The kids did great considering we went at lunchtime and only had a few snacks. After we went to the kids favorite restaurant Red Robin and boy did they chow down.
It was nice though to be able to get outside with them and look at nature. They had a blast!
About to touch and see how cold the water was.

Figuring out where we need to go next.

And I had to throw this one in. This girl loves orange! She was super thrilled to pose for her outfit. Too bad you can't see her cute pigtails. Such a happy girl.

Legos

My girly girl I came running in to me the other day crying saying something went up her nose. When I looked up there, what did I see? A pink lego. Yes, you heard me, a pink lego was up her nose! Fortunately I was able to get it out without a trip to the doctor.

Her story is that she was taking something apart and it flew up her nose. She was lying down at the time so who knows. She is sticking with her story.

She was pretty freaked out so hopefully it won't ever happen again!

Way behind

We have had a busy 2010 so far. Here C did basketball camp. He improved greatly over the month and our neighbor gave us a really nice basketball hoop for outside and he and daddy have been playing. He is keeping track in his head how many baskets he has made. Over 70 at this point I believe.
We finally got I to try something! She did a creative movement class but saw all the kids in the gym doing gymnastics and decided she waned to try it.

Finally, we got to celebrate J's 3rd birthday. It was a rough week with I having a stomach bug but we were able to pull off a small party with a My Little Pony theme.

Birthday girl...

1st tooth lost

I know it is kind of hard to tell from this picture, but yes, C really lost his first tooth yesterday. The other one that has moved to the middle, is about to come out as well. He was super excited and b/c it came out at school, he got to put it in a little case that he wore around his neck to keep it safe. He couldn't wait to put it under his pillow and this morning I woke up with him running into our room at 5:30 to show me what he got from the tooth fairy. So exciting!

Christmas

Yay! Christmas pictures and it's only 2 days after. We had a very relaxing time this year. We opened presents slowly and ate all day and didn't have our big meal until 4 which is kind of late for us but worked out really well.
Here is our tree: Looks kind of funny and red but I took it without a flash so there ya go.

Reading about Jesus' birth:

Stockings:

Elves passing out presents:

Yummy: M&M's (fortunately brother is very understanding that he can't have any)

Eager anticipation:

Just what she wanted:

Can never have enough Star Wars stuff (the shirt says Star Wars in case you were wondering):

Opening presents:

Playing with presents:

Legos, legos and more legos. I think these were as much for daddy as son:

Hope all of you had a very Merry Christmas as well!

Christmas Tree

This year we picked our Christmas tree out in record time because it was so cold and the sun was going down. I also didn't get a lot of pictures but here are a few. The first one is us standing in front of the Christmas tree we picked.

Here are a few of the kids. They were very cold and saying things like "my face is freezing".

Fortunately the farm wasn't busy and one of the workers was kind enough to cut it down for us a with a chainsaw and drive it back to the car on his cart. Maybe I will put a picture up of the tree in the house next time:-)
Oh and here is one of J, falling asleep in her chair. So adorable. This is what happens when she doesn't get a nap.
