5th Birthday

Our princess turned 5 this year (and yes this post is a few months late). She had a Toy Story 3 themed party including pony rides. The kids had lots of fun.

Water Fun

The kids went from being scared of the water to absolutely loving it after spending lots of time at the pool in Kansas and then taking swimming lessons. We got to go to the water park with friends and play in Papa's pool in Southern Oregon.

We took our kids to Kansas for a family reunion this past week. I was so nervous about the whole traveling with 3 kids thing but for the most part (except 3 1/2 hour delay in Denver) it was truly a fantastic trip. The kids did things they had never experienced, played for hours in pools, met my family from both sides of my family and hubby got to drive an SUV the whole week:-)

In May, the school has a Spring Fling BBQ and the kids perform. Here is CA with his class:


Here is IA, it is work getting her to go up there but she was brave and did it. They sang "Jesus Loves Me" in Japanese. She didn't actually sing once she was up there but at least she went!

And we even got one smile with the help of her friend (most of her friends at school are boys, kind of scary!)

And here is our newest addition, Zoe. How could we resist this face?

CA birthday

He really wanted a Yoda cake. This is what he ended up with. It was finished literally minutes before people starting showing up. Considering it was completely a last minute design, it turned out pretty good.

Eating said cake (it's always hard to see it cut up, especially so quickly after being finished!)

See that bowl in front of IA? It is holding our beta fish. Not the goldfish CA won at his school carnival - because that one died within 12 hours. The kids were devastated so then came the beta named ObiWon (I have no idea how to spell that, sorry Star Wars fans)

Remember that fish bowl on the table? Well, it became this. A 10 gallon tank that now holds the Beta, a cleaner fish, 2 little fishes (won't even try to spell that one, there were 3 and then the Beta ate one), and 2 frogs.
