Christmas Day

Christmas was really relaxing and fun this year. The kids loved opening their presents of course. They got some play outfits - a pirate and elephant for CA which he promptly put on and played with while IA refused to put hers on for a picture-she's kind of stubborn that way.

We even had a white Christmas which doesn't happen here in Oregon very often. The kids had fun throwing snowballs and watching the snow come down.

Zoolights

This is the first year we went and it was lots of fun although very very cold!

Thanksgiving

Here are some pics from Thanksgiving with Grandpa, Uncle T and Cousin B. We had lots of fun while they were here!

Last weekend we went to Papa and Lulu's house. The kids had lots of fun and slept amazingly well considering they were in the same air mattress on the floor.
This position, however, did not last very long but was very sweet!

Halloween

These pictures don't quite do the costumes justice. Especially the waddle that went with IA's duck walk. Very cute. The kids had lots of fun trick or treating and got more candy than they could ever eat. Of course, they had just as much fun answering the door and giving out candy to other kids-as long as it wasn't the candy they had collected!

Pumpkin Patch

We went to the pumpkin patch today. It is a great one somewhere around Dayton that has hay and corn mazes, slides, food, hayrides, toy tractors and a pumpkin launcher. We didn't get a picture of the pumpkin launcher but it is pretty awesome and the kids got good at covering their ears when they knew it was about to shoot. It was pretty loud!

Daddy, IA and CA (JA is there too, you just can't see her) on top of the world - or the haystack as the case may be.

CA just loved the slide and couldn't get enough of it.

IA loved the little car, but could only make herself go backwards.

She was a little grumpy at the pumpkin patch but overall seemed to enjoy herself, hard to believe she had a fever when we got home.

Funny quote of the day

"Boy, I am pooped" - Nana after having the kids spend the night and playing hard with them.
"In your pants??" - CW with a quizzical look at his Nana

Soccer

This was CW's first day of soccer. As you can see, he is having a great time. IG was also having a good time watching brother run around the field. CW was also fortunate to have his own entourage with Nana, Grandma, and Auntie M cheering him on. Plus he knows several kids in his group which is a big plus.

The coaches are not so lucky as many of the dad's of the group have played or coached college level soccer, and there is a lot of critiquing going on over on the sidelines.

1st Day of School

C's first day of preschool. He was very excited until the moment came to actually go and then he realized mommy and daddy wouldn't be there with him. I did manage to capture a little smile through his cries of not wanting to go. There are no pictures of him at school screaming for mommy with teacher holding him. Fortunately, teacher said it was short lived. Now of course he loves going! And there were no tears in his second week. What a relief!
